Meet the Physical Therapists

Dr. Coleman Lumpkin, PT, DPT, CMTPT, CSCS
Co-Founder & Physical Therapist

Coleman Lumpkin is a licensed physical therapist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and co-founder of C² Physical Therapy & Performance in Virginia Beach, Virginia. With nearly a decade of experience in orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, Coleman specializes in helping active adults and athletes overcome persistent pain, restore movement, and return to the activities they enjoy.

Coleman's clinical approach combines advanced orthopedic assessment, dry needling, manual therapy, and individualized strength and movement programming. Rather than simply treating symptoms, he emphasizes identifying the mechanical, functional, and lifestyle factors contributing to pain and movement limitations. His goal is to help patients understand their condition, make measurable progress, and develop the strength and confidence to maintain their results.

Coleman earned his Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science, with a minor in Nutrition, from Bridgewater College in 2014 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University in 2017. He pursued advanced training in the McKenzie Method and earned his Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) credential in 2018. In 2021, he became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), further integrating performance training into his rehabilitation approach.

As a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified professional, Coleman also has specialized training in golf-specific movement screening and the relationship between physical limitations and golf swing characteristics. He uses this knowledge to help golfers identify mobility, stability, and strength limitations that may influence their comfort, movement, and performance on the course.

Beyond clinical practice, Coleman previously served as an adjunct professor in the Physical Therapist Assistant program at Tidewater Community College, where he helped educate and mentor future rehabilitation professionals.

Through C² Physical Therapy & Performance, Coleman brings his clinical expertise directly to patients through personalized, one-on-one concierge physical therapy. By providing care in the comfort of patients' homes or preferred environments, he offers a convenient, focused alternative to traditional outpatient rehabilitation.

Outside of physical therapy, Coleman enjoys weightlifting, golf, baseball, and spending time with his wife and two children. His personal passion for staying active reinforces his professional commitment to helping others move with confidence, stay resilient, and continue doing what they love.

Dr. Caitlin Lumpkin, PT, DPT, CMTPT
Co-Founder & Physical Therapist

Caitlin Lumpkin is a licensed physical therapist and co-owner of C² Dry Needling and Concierge Physical Therapy. She has been practicing since 2016 with a strong foundation in orthopedic care of all ages. Caitlin treats a wide range of patients and is especially known for embracing complex and challenging cases, using a thoughtful and individualized approach to help patients progress confidently through rehabilitation.

Caitlin earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Shenandoah University in 2013, followed by her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2016. She has completed advanced training in the McKenzie Method and became dry needling certified with her Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist certification through MyoPain Seminars in 2017. Her clinical background emphasizes functional movement, patient education, and helping individuals clearly understand the “why” behind their rehabilitation process.

Her treatment philosophy centers on individualized care tailored to each patient’s specific needs, informed by nearly a decade of clinical experience and evidence based techniques with proven outcomes. Caitlin places a strong emphasis on understanding how pain and injury impact a patient’s daily life, allowing her to collaborate with patients to establish realistic, meaningful goals that support both recovery and performance.

Caitlin’s passion for physical therapy began at a young age following a figure skating injury at age nine and was solidified after undergoing ACL reconstruction in 2007. A defining moment in her rehabilitation came when her physical therapist acknowledged the uniqueness of her sport and committed to working collaboratively to get her back on the ice. That experience shaped her belief that every patient deserves personalized care, mutual trust, and a therapist who is willing to meet them where they are.

Caitlin brings this patient first, performance driven mindset into every session, helping individuals regain confidence, restore movement, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
